The Girls Shopping

Thanks Nancy-Andy for getting us on tram with your passes

A native owned endeavor, the tram travels 800 ft to the top of Mt. Roberts
that has a nature center shops, and a magnificent view of Juneau.
We also had a brief movie and narration about Alaska's Tlingit and their culture.

It inspired us to name out sidecar Raven (Yeil pronounce Yath) we also learned how to pronounce
the word Tlingit correctly, by putting your tongue on the soft part of your palate.

The Hemenway's thanks again folks

Andy gets his Fathers day ride in the Raven on the way to the glacier

Mendenhal Glacer

Waiting to load the ferry at dock in Juneau .
Young couple pulled off the highway and wanted to get information about our sidecar
He said he wanted to travel this way with his family, I explained his wife or son could ride in the car and the other could ride on the back. They left excited and the son is going to be following our blog
Good luck to you guys !!

  3. Bob and Sharon, it was wonderful getting a chance to talk with you while you waited for the ferry, in Juneau. Who would have thought that I would happen upon a couple who are doing what I have spent the past month researching AND on the very equipment that I wanted to use! Gotta love serendipity! One does not see BMW's much in Juneau let alone with a sidecar! Love it! You inspired my whole family! Since we home school, we are looking to travel for 6 - 9 months and explore Alaska, US, and Canada visiting historic locals, national parks, and meeting and getting to know wonderful people, such as both of you! Thank you for your inspiration! Have a wonderful journey!

    Timothy, Lisa, and Cedar!
