June 19,2013 Eight Day on the road , Touring Ketchikan and going to POW.

A day in Ketchikan

4 cruise ships this size dock in town daily. Tourists leave the ships in the mornings  and the stores open,   and the tours open, in the evenings the boats blow the whistle, the passengers go back to the ship.
All the shops close and the town is dead, 8,000 folks a day. Might be good for the economy but who is really running this place.

Joyce's Stuff and Stuff Thrift store,
fellow used to live in Wasilla

Sharon will make sure she hits every store in the state.

Looking fo a place to eat, found tour area not a good investment

Decided to go back where we were staying earlier for dinner

Getting on inter-island ferry leaving Ketchikan for Prince of Wales Island (POW)
Meeting Kathy and Bruce who we spent part of our trip with. Great people.
